General Medicine
We pride ourselves in providing the most up to date medical services in terms of diagnostics and treatment. We place a large emphasis on continuing education amongst all our staff and many of our vets have pursued post-graduate study in internal medicine, feline medicine and oncology.
Surgery
Our separate, sterile surgery allows us to perform most advanced surgical procedures including orthopaedic plate and screws applications, fracture repairs, cruciate repairs and numerous soft tissue surgeries. We also perform all routine sterilisation surgeries of most species, including rabbits, ferrets and guinea pigs.
Laboratory
With the rapid development of technology on many fronts, veterinary medicine has also benefited. Being able to offer an “in-house” laboratory service is now a reality. This technology comes in various forms, sizes and abilities. At Drovers Vet Hospital, we are pleased to be able to offer a full range of in-house diagnostics.
Imaging
At Drovers Vet Hospital, we use advanced state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment including high end ultrasound, digital xrays and specialised digital dental xrays to allow us to thoroughly assess your pet for disease diagnosis, prevention and treatment

Puppy Pre-School
Congratulations on your new addition to your family. Puppy preschool is a good way to introduce your new puppy to other puppies and thus allow development of good socialisation. At our Drovers Vet Hospital puppy preschool you will also learn about puppy training and veterinary health.

Ultrasound
Many of the vets now at Drovers Vet Hospital have completed post graduate study or courses in ultrasound and can perform most ultrasound examinations. Our investment in this service goes beyond our veterinary knowledge base – we have invested in a high end Siemens X300 ultrasound unit, with both advanced cardiac (heart) and abdominal (stomach and other organs) software.
Orthopaedic Surgery
Broken bones and cruciate ligament problems are the most common orthopaedic problems encountered in veterinary practice. Being able to offer these latest treatments and surgeries in a veterinary facility is vital. Application of plates and screws for fractures, external fixation devices, cruciate ligament repair (TPLO and TTA surgery) and knee cap surgery are just some of the orthopaedic surgical procedures we are capable of providing at Drovers Vet Hospital.

We have been accredited as a Cat Friendly Clinic by the International Society for Feline Medicine and Dr van Boeijen has further qualifications in Feline Medicine with the ANZCVS by Membership examination.
