General Medicine
We pride ourselves in providing the most up to date medical services in terms of diagnostics and treatment. We place a large emphasis on continuing education amongst all our staff and many of our vets have pursued post-graduate study in internal medicine, feline medicine and oncology.
Being able to ensure fast and accurate diagnostics for our patients is key. To this regard we have invested in state of the art equipment to allow faster results and more accurate evaluation of any abnormalities. This, combined with our knowledge base, enables us to provide a level of treatment not easily found in general veterinary practice.
As the field of veterinary medicine expands, so do the niche areas with it. Dr Wayne Shipham attained his further qualifications in Small Animal Medicine by examination with the ANZCVS and has a number of special focus areas in this field including oncology and endocrine diseases, especially hyperadrenocorticism (Cushing's Disease).
We also subscribe to a number of Veterinary medical journals as well as a service called VIN (Veterinary Information Network), which “plugs” us in to over 200 veterinary field specialists throughout the world.
